You've probably noticed that I haven't posted in awhile. It's been a busy week at work, so I just haven't had the time. I've also edited dissertations for DMin students in my spare time, and I've got a lot more of that to do.
Yesterday, James and I went to the August A. Busch Conservation Area Shooting Range to get in some practice with his gun. It was FUN. I did get in trouble once, though, because apparently I was shooting too fast. It's a big strange, but apparently, you're not supposed to shoot more often than once every 3 seconds. I don't see why that's the rule, as long as I'm shooting in the right direction at the right time! I slowed down, though, and they let me keep shooting. My target looked awesome - a whole bunch of bulls-eyes!!
Then, on the way back, we went to pick up Ella at her nanny's house, and Katie asked us to stay for dinner. She made some AWESOME Thai food, and we both cleaned our plates. Ella took a nap in her pack-n-play, and then we all went home.
Today, we went to a joint service for the church that we've been visiting. They've got two sites, and today both services met together in the chapel at the seminary. Bob Burns (my boss) preached a great sermon. Afterwards, we went with our friends Brendan and Kim, as well as Brendan's parents who are visiting from Seattle, out to Montelle Winery in the Missouri wine region. The wine out there is terrible, but the view from their deck is beautiful. Ella was feeling a little emotional, so I walked around with her until she fell asleep. They had some music playing from some band that they'd hired, and it put her out pretty fast.
Well, that's about all for this weekend, folks. Ella's asleep upstairs in the crib, James is watching a movie called Hitman that he recorded on the television, and I'm going to get my shower and go to sleep. I'll write again soon!
